Objectives

Upon completing this course, participants are expected to:

• Understand the fundamental concepts related to the different types of well logs and formation tests,
• Develop skills to interpret the types of fluids present in the formation based on profiles,
• Learn how to calculate fluid saturation and evaluate the productive capacity of reservoir.

Content

• Fundamentals of open hole well logs, logging environment, basic logs (GR, SP, Resistivity, Density, Neutronic),
• Special well logs (RG Spectrometry, Imaging, MRI and LWD).
• Understanding Production Profiles (Production Logging Tool - PLT, Flowmeter, Temperature, Capacitance, etc.).
• Notions of Formation Test.

Geologists, geophysicists and engineers working in the exploration and production of hydrocarbons.
